Under 15s
Yeovil and District Youth League
27 September Castle Cary 1 Street 3

What a great Sunday. After watching the Under 13's play brilliantly, it was now are turn. Sun shining, the boys were in a doubtful mood before the game as Street didn't lose a game all season last year. Street started the better team passing the ball around for the first ten we were playing catch up. Slowly but surely are boys came good and finished 0-0 half time. With only eleven players, we battled and worked harder than I had ever seen before, great work from all eleven. With 20 minutes to go a run from Bondy from the right, slide the ball into the path of Mike who provided an excellent finish. Time seemed to stand still, Street pressed and deserved the equaliser, eventually running out 1-3 winners which was extremely hard to take after all the effort we put in. The boys came off with their heads down and were told from everyone how brilliantly they played. On a regretful note, Street won't get my vote for most sporting team, constantly
moaning throughout the match. Well done boys, we can see the improvement comin
g. Just keep going. I won't be with you next week, but I will be thinking of you, so win
September 13th Yetminster 3 Castle Cary 2

After last weeks non performance losing 9-0,we all felt we were wasting our time. Amazingly we were brilliant today going 1- 0 up thanks to a superstrike from Bondy scoring inside 2 mins. Within 10 mins Yetminster draw level, I counted six including the keeper about 6 foot tall. Although
we played good football,we couldn't compete against their size and strength.
Half time 3-1 to Yetminster. As with the first half we started brightly and although Yetminster pressed hard it was us to get the next goal, and what a rare treat from the foot of Joey. Now our tails were up, and although we tired hard to score we couldn't find the equaliser.
Full time 3-2
